I love spicy food. My kids joke that I put hot sauce on everything, and it’s kind of true. I found Tabasco potato chips the other day at the store and was in heaven. I’ve been working on adapting cookie recipes to make the ultimate spicy chocolate cookie and I’m at version three right now. They’re not quite there yet, but they kind of kick ass. Bonus: your kids won’t eat them.
WICKED STEPMOTHER COOKIES
- Buy a bag of Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chips and follow the recipe up to the addition of chocolate chips.
- Use only 1 cup chocolate chips & add the following:
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa (you may want to reduce the flour a little if you like thinner or crispier cookies)
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp ancho chili powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
Bake according to package directions while snacking on remaining chocolate chips.
For those of you that have been asking (and I thank you) #5 is improving, and we are now in our longest streak of not being sick since October. He has better color and more energy to annoy his sisters, but his relationship with bacon has become rather complicated. We have faith he will move past that.
The Single Cell won the caption contest way back when that I never announced. She even let me eat her prize. It’s pretty tasty. She’s all smart and stuff, so you should check out her blog.
I’ve been out and about a few places recently:

Merry Christmas to you, too! I hope #5 keeps feeling better and better.
You’re in my battle box.
Merry Christmas to you Lady!!
Love the port and starboard Puggles, merry Christmas.
Aw, thanks for the link, lady! Hope you had a merry one!
What…what did you do to the cookies?
I love spicy. My favorite is pizza with pepperoni, apple, and banana peppers and/or jalepeno peppers. Also, my co-worker and I like to see who can eat the spiciest food.
Merry merry I’d say…what its all about!
Love the title…and you sound like a caring step mother rather than a wicked one! 🙂
